Five thousand years from now—let’s say we didn’t find the God particle. We’re still looking. I think we probably won’t be making things of the nature that we are now. I think we’ll just be trying to appreciate things more. (…) We’ll be able to be in the present more effectively. We’ll be able to use our senses, because art, in a way, is stuff that teaches you to use your senses. Works of art are just ways to pay attention to different things, and to appreciate what is there, and more and more art is like that. Rather than creating more stuff.
